Knees in severe pain after starting 30DS

I have done 6 days of level 1. I was doing fine days 1-4, took a day off, did day 5 and then when I started day 6 I could barely move. I did day 6, but I was in agonizing pain the whole time. When doing the cardio exercises. I have stopped for close to a week and my knees are still in severe pain. I am going to go see the Orthapedic Doctor about it next week, but was just wondering if anyone else experienced this problem? I can barely move my knees, and with a 6 month old, it is very difficult to be able to just sit and rest them. Trying to stand up holding him is even worse.

This is very, very common with 30ds
. See it between 1-2 times a day on the forum. Ice it, take it easy,
DO NOT mess with your knees!!! Please be careful.
Next time: Consider pain a stop sign. Please.0 -
I had this problem the first time I tried Insanity. I don't even think I was able to finish week 2. After several weeks off, I was able to try again. I got a rubber mat thing, maybe 3/4" thick and wore cross trainer shoes instead of running shoes. I was fine then.
Definitely stop and give your knees a break.0 -
Thanks guys. After I posted I did a little Google Search and saw how many people we complaining about this. It is really really painful. There should be a warning or something on the box about the chance of this happening. I never would have guessed jumping jacks and jump rope would do something like this. It double sucks because I have a 6 month old :-(0

I had to stop doing 30DS because of my knee. I got to Level 2 day 2 and was in alot of pain...I took a couple of days off and modified some moves for my knee but I still did the jumping movements....that is what was causing the soreness. So, i quit but I did love doing it before the pain started, I had good results from level 1. Now I wear a knee brace and do low impact workouts but I haven't been able to walk more than 1/2 a block and I used to walk 2 to 2.5 miles every day!!!!0 -
I will see what the doctor says on Tuesday. I am really really hoping I just have to wear a knee brace for a while and maybe some anti inflammitories or something. It is both knees tho and I am starting to walk funny from the pain, so my entire leg is hurting now. Sucks :-(0
