neither of those are real fighting...
for general on the street fighting, its hard to beat Krav Maga.... augmented closely by good weapon training, mostly handguns in the US.
beyond that, theres sport fighting that transfers over... you have your general MMA and BJJ combo, Kickboxing, muay thai, etc ...
behind that your usual point sport fighting Gi BJJ, Karati, etc...
but really, sport is sport, and not street fighting.. you want to win, you fight dirty.. you want to train to fight dirty and win, you train Krav Maga.0 -

Ok...so I went and did some VIDEO research....I am trying to be serious...cause this is a funny question...being that neither are fighting styles and the OP is just joking.
I would love to see someone get into the fighting girations and stance for Tae Bo, but I think the Ken Po X fighter would win the fight all things being equal..height, weight, strength and stamina........0 -

This 100%0 -
I have been a Kenpo fighter since I was 4 years old...
well... Not a FIGHTER at 4 but, you get the idea.
At 16 years old, I took up Thai Boxing. If you think you are in shape, Thai Boxing will make you re-think that.
As others have said however, it really is up to the better fighter.
I have been in the ring with fighters from almost every "style" out there.
I was knocked out cold by a kick boxer. That one suprised me.
And I choked out a loud mouthed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter who thought the name alone would carry him.
I will admit that I have not been in a street fight in well over 10 years however, back in the day, I will personally choose Kenpo over many other styles.
Just my opinion.0 -

I am sorry.. I thouht it was "Kenpo" and I missed the "Kenpo X".
I will walk away now.......0 -
I would say Kenpo so that you wouldn't have to carry around a boombox for all that Tai Bo music.0

Ninjutsu if you want to be really cool.
Capoeira if you like to dance.
Krav Maga if you want to win.
Smith and Wesson if you want to win and not get punched in the first place.
Avoidance if at ALL possible.
Chuck Norris if you'd rather just stay home and "have it handled"
The Police (aka Po Po) if you want to report who beat you up and that you would very much like a ride to the hospital

Just started a Krav Maga course. Holy hell, it's dangerous just to learn it. Guy got his thumb broken during the first session. But, man is it awesome.0 -

LOL this is a great thread. In my humble experience not getting in to one is the only real win. That being said a god old KO is great then a good choke.0

I agree.
And, I would add in Systema & Jeet Kune Do as "true" no holds barred fighting styles.
The original suggestions seem to be more exercise related than self defense oriented.0 -
