Oh yeah! Check out the Venus Index designed for women. Can be done at home, one hour three days a week.
It is more than a workout. It helps you set your goals, learn the truth about calories, calorie burn, navigating social events on a diet, navigating a society that embraces eating too much and obesity. It helped me achieve my goal at age 50 and still maintaining at almost 52. My story is in the Venus Index blog because I won a fitness contest at age 51 there as well as bobbies fitness blog. Many young mothers are able to do this workout at home. It is amazing.
The workout constantly changes up and is not boring. Approximately 20 woman at my gym are doing it and everyone loves it. The ladies I know from the online forum who do it at home love it. You can read their stories and listen to their interviews on the Venus Index blog under the contests and transformations. It is absolutely amazing.0 -

These "Tone it Up" workouts are well, awful.
I'm not sure what kind of equipment you have, but Starting Strength, New Rules of Lifting, or Stronglifts 5x5 are all good programs to start with.0 -
I tell my wife to train like I do............start with heavy compound moves like the bench press, overhead press and the squat. When you get used to those look up a workout from bodybuilding.com.0
