Protein powder advice?

What is the difference between casein and whey protein powder? My husband is trying to gain and I'm trying to lose, I don't to do anything to prevent me from losing the most weight I can at a healthy rate and I just wasn't sure if I should stay away from one of those or if it really matters at all?

Thanks in advance!

Here is a great article. What it really comes down to though is calories in and out. You need a caloric deficit and he needs a caloric surplus. But a combination of both will be most beneficial. Turns out, that mixing whey protein with milk is very beneficial.

Essentially, both will be benefical. Whey improves short term performance and casein will improve long term repairing of muscles.

Also, weight training (more specifically, very heavy weight training) will be beneficial for fat loss for you.

I'm not sure about the difference between the two, but I use GNC's wheybolic chocolate protein powder. It's delicious. It's chock full o' goodness. I <3 it.

I'm a big fan of Designer Whey - tastes good, doesn't break the bank, easily dissolves and is quite clean in terms of its ingredients.
