whats not to understand?
BMI and waist measurements say I am fat and unhealthy but BF% says I am healthy?0 -
I'm talking more about the waist measurement... shouldn't it be smaller with that % of body fat? :S0

Do you feel fat? Do you wobble? Do you want to improve?
Keep at it then. Ignore the stats.0 -

Thats about a 40 inch waist. That may just be your shape.0

My body fat is around 24%, but my gut is still pretty big and my waist to hip ratio is in the unhealthy range. It's all to do with where your body stores its fat. I have no weight to lose anywhere but my waist and abdomen. My visceral fat (which you would expect to be high as I carry my weigh in my tummy region) is 3. Healthy is below 13.
Nuthin I can do about it but keep lowering that body fat *shrugs*0 -

THIS. People have different body shapes. BUT if you want to try and improve it, strength exercises.0 -
BMI is the biggest waste of time ever. According to that, most rugby players are unfit and need to lose weight.
Just use the better measurements like BFP and the like.0 -
how do you know your bf%?
bf is the hardest thing to estimate. and it's always this - estimation. depending on method you are off 3-10%0 -
40 inches is quite a lot for a tummy, I would worry less about BMI than I would about mid-section weight and the health issues associated with it. Just keep on doing what you're doing, you're on the right path!0

at my university i got 3 different professors who are fitness professionals to check it for me. all were within 26-27% range.
Also, I already do strength train...0 -
