I have insanity, Ive had it for about a year now. I tried it back in January and I got to week 2, and then my schedule got to hectic to continue. So I'm thinking about starting it again. But how would I track it on MFP?

Also has anyone seen some good results on it? I feel like all I see results for is women/men who are in decent shape already. And I'm clearly not in very good shape! Hope someone can help

  • Good morning! I just started Insanity, this is my 3rd week and I'm loving it!!! It's really addicting. It may sound odd, but it's such a challenge, that the feeling you get when doing the workout is awesome because you DID IT! I am NOT in great shape, I'm about 15 pounds overweight and not fit. I haven't lost any pounds yet, but I have read a lot about it and it seems most people don't start really shedding pounds until month 2. But my body is changing, I can feel it and I will measure this weekend to see if I have lost inches, but already my clothes fit differently. I think this is a great program, you just have to stick with it and find the time. My only time is in the morning so I get up an hour earlier and do it then, it was super hard at first but it gets easier as I go. Feel free to friend me if you want to chat more about it or just want support. Good luck!

I had good results with round 1 - I lost 12 pounds (starting from 195), and 19 inches. I just started round 2 this week. For logging, I wear my heart rate monitor, and add it as a custom exercise.

Do you have any suggestions on heart rate monitors because I have no idea about them. I just did the second day ( i skipped the fit test ) and I stopped ALOT, which I hope is normal but at some points my heart felt like it was going to burst out of my chest.

    Hey,

I am 2 weeks into Insanity and its amazing. Very hard, but amazing.

I track it using circuit training and for me it works out at 480 a session, which I adjust to 400.

on recovery days I log as low impact aerobics.

Hope this helps and good luck

  • I log the same on MFP. I've done a bit of research and it seems MFP is extremely close to the HRM on calories burned.
