Most weeks we have a takeaway but since calorie counting we don't have them now as most of them are high in calories, what takeaways do you have????

Most fast food places have salads or yogurts. That's what I usually get. I also got an app for my phone that lists food calories all chain restaurants. This has helped tremendously when going for fast food or out to eat at a nicer restaurant.0

Most places have salads or healthier options. Grilled chicken sandwiches/wraps. Kids meals w/ apple slices instead of fries.0

I still have a chinese takeaway BUT I now have only a quarter of whatever I'm having. Also I exercise like mad on the day I'm having it. The sugar and salt is normally pretty awful but as a treat once a month I think it's ok0

Is it possible for you to prep meals ahead of time? When I'm short on time, I tend to cook on the weekends and eat the food during the week.
I generally eat restaurant food 0-4 times/month.0 -
If I go to the chippy I have rotisserie chicken (breast&wing chicken quarter) and half a small portion of chips. Or we go to the indian and I have a tomato based non creamy curry (e.g. chicken bhuna) and saag aloo (spinach and potatoes). I usually eat around 700cal as a rough estimation0

We have middle eastern food once a week. Chicken or lamb kabobs are my favorite. I skip the rice and bread and just eat the grilled veg side.0

I try to check the website of wherever I'm going and do a quick scan of the nutritional info. So for instance, I used to be a sucker of the baked potato soup at Corner Bakery, but then I saw how much fat and calories are in it and decided to try the roasted tomato soup. Not only is the roasted tomato soup delicious, but it's REALLY low in fat and calories. I also found a few surprises, like at Chopt Salad Works, the vegetarian power house salad has a LOT more fat and calories than their steakhouse salad. I never would have guessed that.
Anyhow, getting take out it still totally an option now and again, just try to plan ahead and educate yourself on the nutritional values before you go.0
