PATIENCE!!!!! Lets be realistic here. You wont drop two jean sizes in one day. You wont lose fifty pounds in one month. Your going to binge every now and then. You will go a day or two without working out. Your weight is going to fluctuate here and there. Your going to try new techniques, and they're not going to work. You're a human being, You're going to fail.... But nothing great is ever accomplished without a few obstacles... JUST KEEP GOING AND NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!

a wise friend of mine said this morning, sucking is one step away from being sorta good at something.
i paraphrased, I hope the meaning carries over.
also- about the title of this thread....
if motivation doesnt work, use determination
If determination doesnt work, thank goodness you learned discipline.
keep cycling these three and youll have success.

I've been spreading this word for the past few days to my friends who have been down. If it were easy, every mother fuc*er would be doing it.
The more you rush to lose weight, the less successful you will be (IMO)
Slow and steady is the way to do it.0 -
I'm loving this....my mantra for the day!0

AMEN. I lost well over 130 pounds a few years ago and gained it allllll back. Well, I already know the journey that lies ahead, just this time it is harder. I am now a mom, who works full time and has a home to take care of as well. I put myself last all too often. Plus, no metabolism because I was skipping meals...My fault, not my bodies! Then...I got lazy. Super lazy.
(When I lost weight last time, I was in college, 24-26 years old, could eat how I wanted all the time for dieting purposes (no one to cook for) and could work out on my schedule)
I have been at it for about 2 weeks now, and have lost 7 pounds. Usually I would be discouraged and give up because it isn't coming off quickly. But NO. I am motivated like no other! I make the 30 minutes I get to spend at the gym (on my lunch) count! I eat healthy and watch everything that goes in my mouth. I am making sure I stay under my calories. I know i can do this.
Thank you for your post!0 -
