Pregnancy and weight

Hello everyone. I am 28 and I weigh 212lbs. I am 5ft 8 and i think alot of that weight is muscle, I have those new Reebok shoes that help with the thighs, calves and buttocks (and have noticed my weight increase after using these shoes for a month now). My BMI is 30 and I have read that to help get pregnant your BMI should be less, is this true? I dont look overweight and I have a bit of a belly. Will this help me get pregnant easier if I get my belly down and get my BMI a bit less or is this false?

I don't know the science around BMI and getting preggo, but I am very overweight and I got pregnant within 4 months of trying.0

I'm 5'5 and weight 185 when I got preggers. I didn't have any problems at all conceiving. My BMI was 29. I didn't gain 40 pounds with the pregnancy but I lost it all without any problems.0
