Overestimated calories

Anyone else notice that the calorie estimates for the various exercises on MFP are kind of high? I'm not convinced that "lawn mowing - general" for 90 minutes really burns 696 calories. The counts on actual fitness equipment (e.g., elliptical and treadmill) at the gym are typically much lower than MFP estimates.

I totally agree...so I have went to using my heart rate monitor. That means when my heart rate is up I am losing calories. I only track what my monitor says! Everyone is different in their own calorie burn! Invest in a HRM and start tracking. Also I have noticed that the more I exercise and lose the lower my calorie burn is. That is due to me strengthing my heart and with that it ends up beating less and in turn losing less calories!
