    One a day women's formula

..but honestly I stopped taking them and didn't notice a difference in energy levels or my skin or anything. I wonder how beneficial they actually are..

I'm taking one only because it's more likely to miss a few nutrients on a restricted diet.

Most multi-vitamins are horse pills (or packets of a dozen) so I went with Centrum Chewable. It may not be the most complete multi-vitamin out there, but at least I know I can actually get it down every morning.

I take Nature Made Liqui-gels. Both a muti vitamin and B Complex...not sure how much they help but at least with the liqig-els I feel like chances are better that my body actually uses them with the giant pills I always wonder if they really dissolve fully.

The Centrum Chewables taste a lot like children's aspirin. That fake orange flavor, kinda chalky.

I know I've seen folks mention gummy bear vitamins before. Don't recall what the brands might be though.

I don't take multi's because my last round of tests at the doctor found that I was meeting or exceeding all of my vitamin and mineral levels. I just keep a few individuals on hand in case I go for awhile of not always eating well-rounded days of food (sometimes I get lazy and don't want to worry about cooking or prepping food) so things like calcium or iron will drop for a week or so, so I'll take the individuals of those for a couple of days and then get back on track with my meals.

When I was taking a multi, I was constipated a lot because since I was already getting so many vitamins and minerals from my regular food that the multi was actually putting me way over in things like calcium and iron on a regular basis so it was affecting my system.

Honestly, I would check with your doctor first, to see if you actually have a need to start taking supplemental vitamins before just listening to your trainers recommendations.

I'm a runner, so i take Potassium, Magnesium, a super B vitamin, and a prenatal multivitamin. I watch my intake of electrolytes and I make sure I get enough iron.

I buy the Costco version of Centrum. I don't take them everyday-- just when I know my diet has been particularly lacking in something, or I feel rundown.

I take the Swiss Natural multivitamin.
  • I take One A Day Women's.

I actually don't take them -every- day. I aim for every other day or so.

Try to take them with a meal to avoid getting an upset stomach, but also to help absorb the fat-soluble vitamins. (Such as vitamin a & e.)

If you're low on calcium, iron and Vit D I would def find a multivitamin tailored specifically to women. I take One a Day Women's Active Metabolism but I, too, am not sure if it really helps. I did switch off and took GNC Women's Ultra Mega Active and felt no difference in energy levels so I went back to One a Day.

I've been working on getting most of my nutrition through real food and my Shakeology, which is all whole food and not vitamin fortified like most shakes. When I cracked a rib last December from a post nasal drip cough I KNEW I wasn't getting enough calcium so I drink calcium fortified coconut milk (Silk Original) so hopefully that's making a difference!
  • Fish oil might also be helpful, particularly if you're low on vitamin D. :)

the ....One a Day (I think) vitamins that are supposed to have green tea in them....the metabolism vitamins..make me sick.
I take a general multi vitamin, extra vitamin E, and I take Fish Oil. Actually my hair dresser told me to take a multivitamin...I said that I had noticed more hair in the drain lately....she said...same thing had happened to her but when she started the vitamins, the hair loss/shedding slowed way down.
The E and Fish oil are supposed to be good for arthritis...so I take those along with Osteo BiFlex. Yep....I am a pill popper.

(I always get the vitamins for "older" people....because they don't have iron in them.......and my iron levels are always high)

I take One a Day, they have little half-size pills now that are easier to swallow and easier on the stomach. It's supposed to be two pills per day but I take one since I figure they're supplementing my diet, not replacing anything.

I take walmart brand one a day women's multivitamins. I'm vegetarian, and I know I don't eat well enough to get all the important vitamins that you're supposed to get. And I figure a little extra iron won't hurt
  • I take one Nature Way Vitamin D pill (2000 units), one Target brand multi-vitamin, and one Nature Way Fish Oil gel-tab

Your trainer shouldn't have told you that. Specifically, that's the opposite of what they should have been trained to tell you.
    Check their qualifications.
