Would love to have some local friends, or at least some in my time zone, especially those who understand my love/hate relationship with delicious California avocados!

Let's keep each other on track and keep each other from eating all the guacamole.

I'm in South City, feel free to add me! Oh, and I adore avocados. For better or worse. :)

Awesome! Btw, I'm 26, have lost about 40 pounds over the last few years but I would love to wear a size 8 (currently 12 or 14, although many are tight right now). I came back to MFP because of some major life/lifestyle changes, and I broke my ankle, so I became way less active overnight. When I'm done with physical therapy I hope to go to my first ballroom dance competition (in a gorgeous super short size 8 latin dress I already own) and finally tackle RUNNING because I have never been able to run.

I am right there with you, I'd love to get down to an 8 (or even 6 if I can swing it) myself; I'm at 12 right now after losing 44 lbs since March.

I also just started C25K yesterday so I'm trying the running thing too...

What peninsula city do you live in?

I'm in Redwood City! I've looked at C25K, looks like the way to go, but right now I still can't walk so I'm just doing my core exercises and pushups (and my physical therapy exercises, of course) so jogging ANY amount of time is a dream. When I do start I'll tell everybody who stares at my panting sweating self that I just finished three months on crutches!

Redwood City here. Picked up three nice, ripe ones at Sigona's this afternoon, plus some organic cilantro ... The garlic and limes are starting to sweat.

I'm just down the street. I am about an hour away from you.

I also love avocados. My treat is to buy small one a week from the farmers market. I usually manage to eat it that day. :) But it's worth it to me. I can even eat them plain, scooped out of the skin. YUM!

Cool, I have a special fondness for Redwood City since my son was born there. :)

Totally understand about the running, but that's great that you are doing the other exercises you can do right now! Nice work! I actually use my treadmill, so it'll probably be a horribly humbling experience when I actually get outside and try running. The treadmill helps you along, after all. And believe me, I am a panting sweaty mess when I run, so yeah, that won't be too fun to have the world see that.

I'm up in Sacramento enjoying Avocados. My trainer says they have the good fat in them, so I have one every week on my salads. I use to avoid them.
