Football Season is here!! Any good snack ideas?
So, my family and I are all about football....(Go Tigers and :blushing:Chiefs:blushing: )!!
Obviously our Saturday and Sunday munchie menus need to be changed!! Does anyone have any good dip or munchie recipes? We used to be a velveeta/rotel, hotwing, kinda family, but those days are long gone!!
thanks!!
Shelly

Hummus and veggies? Smoked salmon and reduced fat triscuts? Bake your wings? Try the zucchini fries that everyone is raving about?
I don't watch football but I love snacking

My new favorite snack is pop chips & hummus. Feels decadent but is actually really healthy...plan to be eating some later as I watch my Tide roll in, lol

I love taking boneless, skinless chicken breast and chopping them into bite size pieces and tossing them in hot sauce then cooking them. We dip them in a little bit of light ranch. Satisfies our hot wing craving.
I love red pepper strips and hummus0 -
A lot of it is about adapting your old favorites.
Make your own toritlla chips/pita chips by baking them.
Make chicken finger fakes. My favoritehttp://www.hungry-girl.com/newsletters/raw/1214
Bean dips are perfectly healthy if you add salsa and low fat/ fat free sour cream

Put chicken in the crockpot with 1 pack of ranch dressing seasoning and 1 bottle of buffalo sauce. Cook and then use it to make buffalo pita pizzas, wraps, sandwiches, whatever you'd like

Raw veggies are always good. I also bake chicken strips and season them as desired, some spicy, some not so. Meatballs made from ground chuck are always a hit. I put out BBQ sauce for friends that come for the games that want it.0
