Hi,
I'll try to keep this short!!
I'm starting a new job after being unemployed and not doing a lot for the last 7 months!! I broke my arm, had surgery, I was a mess.
Anyway, at my physical for my new job the Dr. mentioned that I need to not only lose weight (DUH!!) but also need to strengthen my body. I have been idle for so long.
My question is this:: Can anyone give my some suggestions on what exercises would be good to get me started? I have fibromyalgia and I'm in constant pain but I know that this is what I need to do to be a success at my job.
My job will require a lot of walking which I am grateful for but I need to work on strenght particularly, upper body (arms).
Sorry if it's too long!!! Anyone can add me if they would like!!
Paula

Hey Paula! Are you able to do pushups? Can you do planks? Can you lift light hand weights? Can you do chair dips (sit on a chair or coffee tabs, scoot forward so your hands are gripping the sides but you dip your backside down to the floor and then you push yourself back up to seated position)? Those all will work your upper body. You can google "upper body exercises" and there are some good videos on YouTube showing you the correct form. Good luck!0

This. But also there are wall push ups if you are a beginner. Easy to find information online. Good luck!0
