I am looking for good clean songs, that have a good guitar solos. Prime example is" Every teardrop is a waterfall" by Coldplay. I get that guitar solo stuck in my head. So any suggestions any other great solos?

My ex used to play Megadeth-Trust... I <3'd it and the solo looked fun! When I played guitar I could only pick up on certain parts of songs. My wrists suck couldn't play for very long times because they would cramp up.

    Freebird.

This is what I was gonna say. (My 5-year old asked me to play it the other day in the car, except he asked for "Feed by Bird by Lizard Skizard". He tried ;-)

One of my favorites is the solo in Alive by Pearl Jam. Being a guitar player (although I suck) makes it easier to pick out more brilliant solos that other people might not notice.

Musicians hear music different than other people.

And Freebird isn't so much a solo as it is a free-form jam by the whole band.

Comfortably Numb (especially the version at Earls Court on the Pulse tour) is #1 for me.

Then follows a lot of daylight until we reach Hotel California.

    I know, I'm ancient.

November Rain-its just beautiful, the guitar tone is amazing and its a fun song to play with lots of bends
Cryin' by Joe Satriani, an instrumental tune I learned several years ago

It's hard to know what you might like, there are so many styles and great players, unfortunately most of whats on the radio today doesn't have great solos.

Just google top 100 guitar solos and go from there.

    "Mr. Scary"- George Lynch/Dokken

    "Last In Line"- Vivian Campbell/Dio

"Guit With It"- Junior Brown (the man is a freaking genius!

    "Hell's Bells"- Angus Young/AC/DC

"La Villa Strangiato"- Alex Lifeson/Rush (This song is a clinic for any musician)

"Jesus Just Left Chicago"- Billy Gibbons/ZZ Top

I could go on all night.....

On the country side, listen to anything that Brad Paisley does....he is quite the guitarist.
