I need some help getting motivated! I seriously need to get this weight off! My little guy is 10 months old. The problem I keep running into is that he is extremely attatched to me and I can't leave the room without him getting so worked up he gets hysterical. Poor guy! And he doesn't stay asleep in his crib long enough at nihgt for me to hop on the bike! Im trying to get more walks in since he enjoys talking walks but the weather is starting to get colder here soon. sigh! LOL Ill get to it! Maybe with more support from others in the same situation, Ill get motivated.

Gosh! I hope my baby doesn't get that attached that he can't be in another room for a while :ohwell: I guess it's just something you have to find time to do it...when he's looking the other way haha!

We have the same weight and height, but my baby is 6 months and we are EBFing too. I'd like to be about 140 though. I've lost 18 pounds since June 24 but its slowed down since I started Insanity. I love your babies name!

All babies go through a stage like that. Some keep it longer then others. However I must mention my little guy has always been the most difficult baby I've ever met lol.

    KEEP IT UP LADIES!!!

I don't think I "count" as really breastfeeding anymore, although my youngest still nurses 2x a day she's 2.5 years old. I just wanted to give you ladies support and let you know it can be done!!!!

I am kind of bfing, although I've been trying to encourage my son to self wean since he turned 2.
I'm on a low cal diet though.
For some reason I have no problem producing milk.

Mine's also 2 (2 1/2 in November). Nice to see extended breastfeeders on here. :)

Good luck to the EBF moms, though!
  • I'm breastfeeding my 12 mo. old 3-4 time a day and find that it is definitely demanding on the body. I'm always hungry! Also, the lack of sleep makes it hard to eat right and stay motivated. I find that it is more of a mental struggle than anything else. When i am stressed, i tend to want to "grab" something or start baking whatever i am craving.:) I really want to have another baby soon, but would like to drop these extra 10 pounds. I am trying to keep sweets and junk food out of the house. Also, getting in moderate exercise and sleeping WHENEVER I can really makes a difference in the way feel about myself. Our bodies will never be the same again, and that's okay! Our little ones are SOOOOOO worth it!
I just started the 30 Day Shred and find that "earning" the extra calories is really helpful. I feel like I am toning up too, which to me is more important than taking the pounds off. I stopped weighing myself because it was so discouraging to see the scale go up when I had been being SO good. I think it is just fluctuation from breast-milk, water retention, etc. Now i am just trying to take off inches and tone my belly. (By the way, I don't add an extra 300 calories for breastfeeding, but if I do go over what MFP allots, I don't worry about it.)
Be a joyful, cheerful, happy mama and everyone will think you look beautiful! Nobody wants to see a woman more consumed with herself than her baby or family. Be confident, focus on being healthy, and just remember that these baby years are but for a little while. We will miss them!

Also, I have always had a clingy child. Thankfully wearing your baby burns even more calories! I still wear my son and he is 30+lbs!

My son is 10 months and I BF
I allot myself 400 extra calories for BFing (recently cut down from 500 as he eats a fair bit of solids now).
I am at my goal weight now but still trying to increase my fitness and whittle away at my tummy
    *pokes tummy chub and sighs*
