Hi everyone!
I was so glad to find this website. Am looking for friends and support here -- and walking partners, if you're in the NNJ/Bergen County area. My goal is to lose 75 lbs, and I'm hoping to do it in a year.
I changed by diet about 4 weeks ago (green veggies, good fats, and lean protein) and have seen results, so I'm excited to continue. I definitely have a sugar and carb addiction! So I find that by eliminating the wheat/dairy/sugar, my cravings have stopped and my body feels much better.
In terms of exercise: For two years, I hit the gym consistently with an excellent trainer. I lost a size but got injured, which had me on the sidelines for 6 months. Now I'm focusing on walking and weight training at home.

Such a cool site! I hope I can make friends here whom are as in need to lose weight as me... I need to lose 50kg...But of course... I have to do it the healthy way by exercising and eating healthy... If anyone willing to, I hope to be friends so we can encourage each other to keep going!!!

Good for you!! Take control and don't look back!
I, too, am injury prone. Don't let that stop you from finding alternative methods at the gym! My joints scream and I have arthritis in both knees, which means if I push too hard in too short a time span, I sprain things easily. I am living by the motto: "Rest makes rust!" This gives me motivation to move! Keep your spirits high, you can get back into the shape that makes you feel your best.
