Crock pot oats - help

I just made my second batch of crock pot oats. The first time I made them I did it overnight and turned it off - came back to it after it had cooled and stored it some tupperware.
This time I have a time crunch so I cooked them and they just finished and I portioned it out into mason jars. Kind of nervous because it's still warm - will I damage my jars? Should I leave the top off? Should I put them in the fridge now or leave them in the sealed jars overnight and then put them in the fridge?
Help me!

I'm just going to leave them on the counter overnight (sealed) and then put what doesn't get eaten into the fridge in the morning.
In case anyone was wondering.0 -
