Maybe it's because I'm so overweight,
But I feel exhausted and too lazy to clean, or clean up after my children.
I do clean up as we go, but my kids really know how to make a mess.
By the time they're settled down, I look at all that needs to be done,
get over whelmed, and say Screw it!
I need to get off my butt, but I feel lazy!

I've found that just after a workout, instead of sitting down to "relax" and get comfy, I go ahead and start a load of laundry... or I will go to the bathroom and see the counters need to be cleaned, the bathtub scrubbed, the floors swept, all kinds of things. Next thing I know, I've been cleaning the house for 30 minutes and I'm too worn out to do anymore. It's then that I let myself sit down and take a break to cool down for real this time. 20 mins with a Jillian video, then 30 mins of housecleaning adds up to my exercising0

Music always works for me. As soon as I crank up the stereo I'll find energy I didn't even know I had. Have fun.0

I've been having the same problem lately and I don't know what's going on. Even on days when I'm not very active and have gotten a decent amount of sleep, I find myself too exhausted to do anything. I think the best thing to do (at least for me) is just tell myself to suck it up and fight through it, and usually once I do that i'm ok. Last night I really, really, REALLY felt exhausted and didn't want to go work out, but I forced myself to, and once I got the gym and started, I felt energized. It's just that getting started that's the hard part, I think. But good luck!0

I know exactly how you feel! I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as well as being overweight. It's not that I don't want to do these things, I just have no energy to do them. I hate how my house looks! There's just so much clutter, crap, and trash, and with little kids it's even harder to keep up on it. http://www.flylady.net/ May be a helpful web site for you. The basis is you basically de clutter and then clean for any 15 minutes at a time.0

I'm in the same boat, OP. I've been exhausted my whole life and all my doctors told me to exercise for more energy and to lose weight. OK, so I've lost 30 lb and I exercise regularly and I'm even MORE tired. I just went to the doctor again and told her, look, we need to fix this because I can't function or stay awake in public places. I'm going to go to a sleep disorder center to see what they can find out. Have you considered talking to your doctor? You said the word "lazy," but are you sure that's it? People called me lazy my whole life, but I just don't feel like that word fits me. Kids ARE exhausting, by the way. Sometimes, I want to cry when my sweet daughter comes behind me uncleaning. I love her so much, but sometimes, I go into screw-it mode and don't even try0

I was told I might have that...
I've been to multiple doctors and have had diagnisis' ranging from depression (which it's definitely not)
to a form of narcolepsy.
I figured I'll get to a healthy Bmi and go from there.0 -

I honestly don't know.
That's sounds like my situation.
I've been told I might even have a hormonal imbalance..
I don't think it's me being the true sense of lazy.
I'm just hard on myself, because I want to have a spotless house,
and have time to play with my kids, and bake healthy snacks for my children...
It doesn't seem so unrealistic, but for some reason I find it very difficult to obtain.0 -
I actually go to the dr tomorrow to see about some different meds to try. They keep trying antidepressants but they don't work, probably because I'm not depressed! lol! I've had it for 13 yrs and this is the longest, worst flare I have ever been in.0

Same here. I don't even have kids, but I taught 2nd grade for 6 years. I always thought that was the reason, also I was either getting my M.A. at night or teaching college at night for 3 years. Now I only teach college, 9 hours a week only! I get up earlyish (5:30am) but also make sure to go to sleep by 10pm. I think I may need more sleep than that though because even with such a light schedule (though I spend many hours on lesson plans and grading papers) I feel tired almost always. Working out helps when I have the energy to do it. I also was told to check with the doctor if I have an iron deficency. Need to do that but feel too lazy to get it done!0

I sleep all the time. I've tired everything no luck. I got tested I'm good on everything and I take vitamins daily.0
