Here I go...again...

Hi everyone, my name is Erin and I am a sweet addict. My weight loss journey began 2 years ago when I had reached 260lbs. I started watching what I ate and working out religiously and quickly lost 40lbs within the first few months. Over the last year and a half I have lost a whopping 15lbs, 5 of those that have crept back on due to my lack of discipline over the last couple of weeks. I need to do better than this, I should already be at my goal weight but for some reason my mind thinks the day is not complete without a cookie or 3, or ice cream, cake, pie, etc etc etc. So I'm starting new here at myfitness pal, going to try to get back to eating healthy, I still work out, but it's frustrating to work so hard in the gym and see myself gain weight. I have been running 5-6 miles a day and attending boot camp classes here and there. My goal is to be fit enough to run a half marathon by spring. I could use encouragement, friends, a match under my booty...etc lol I'm pretty good at offering advice and encouragement myself. Thanks for reading! Good luck to you all!

Hi Erin,
Im with you on the ice cream...seems no matter what I do ... I just always want at least alittle everyday.
So what I came up with (I shop at Aldi) is Fruit Bars. I know one is about 100-150 calories. I really like Aldi's Wildberry ones....
I know if I totally deprive myself. I will fail. So I just try to control how much of it I eat and when.
Good luck!!!0 -
Right there with you! I decided that starting today, I am going to journal all of my food/drinks on MFP. I think that will kick me in the butt. I have a foot injury but I am going to do what I can do around that injury.
Good luck to you!0 -
you've come to the right place, especially if sweets are your weakness like me. Adjusting my carbs/sugar goals has made it so much easier to stay on track. I'm also learning to ignore those little voices that tell me I need chocolate, ice cream, etc etc late at night and heading in for fruit or some greek yogurt with added granola. Finding substitues that satisfy those craviings has been a big help for me......0
