Just remember, it's always one day at a time. I just logged into this site today for the first time and I fully plan on making it a daily habit. I downloaded the app for my phone so that I have no excuse to skip tracking everything I'm putting in my mouth. It's also a motivator to work out so I get extra calories to eat when I'm insatiable!

You and I both have to get this under control. I put my ultimate goal weight at 51 pounds less than I am now, but realistically I'd feel really good about myself if I lost about 40...so perhaps we can be each other's motivation? Feel free to add me as a friend!
  • I know the feeling. I hit a plateau and the horse and buggy is at a standstill. But let's get back up and try again. We just need to try harder and get back up and try again.

I know how you feel, I'm in the same boat, put some weight back on but bound and determined to get rid of it. You can do it!
  • I understand where your head is,I'm there myself. I managed to lose 25 lbs since december 2011. Hardly a fantastic doing. I've fallen off the wagon myself, having wasted $$$$$ on Pts that were worthless. Now, I'm taking a breather and starting over-myself

I'm in the same boat. Today is my 145th day on MFP and I've only lost 15 pounds, 5 of them the same pounds over and over again. I do really well for a few weeks, then not so good. I'm tired of this roller coaster!

We can do this- one day, one meal, one step at a time!

    Hang in there!

Look deep inside and find why you want to lose this weight. Find the reason that personalizes it for you. Use that to drive you to goal. You can do this!!!!

Same here. I just got a new accurate scale--I knew the one I was using was not right and now I weight 2 lbs more. It is so hard losing weight given that I only now have 13 lbs to go and my metabolism is slow because I am getting older and I am small to begin with. So depressing!!!! I guess I should reset my weight ticker :-(. I guess this is when you need some support and friends.

2years ago I lost 28 pounds with weight watchers, I felt great!
I got a new boyfriend, moved across the country and got a new job. Since then I have put on about 35 pounds!
I am so disheartened, my confidence has nose-dived and I worry my boyfriend will lose interest!

I really ned to stick to this an make it a change for life, not a diet!

Most of us adults fail to remember that we didn't go from birth to where we are right now over night. It took time (lots of it), dedication, education/experimentation. That munchkin on your back (if he's yours), you may recall how he magically rolled over for the first time...He did it once and continued to try and do it again and again...then he started to crawl, then pulling himself up on furniture--falling yes, several scrapes and bruises, but he continued until one day he was running. That's the same with everything we set out to do. Somethings may come a bit easier than others, but it all took and will take a lil bit of effort, time, education/experimenting, and some level of commitment. Once you give this some thought, let me know how you feel about TRYING AGAIN. Don't get depressed or put yourself down, don't give up.
