Hi, my name is Fran...I just started dieting/exercising yesterday... I have had enough of being overweight/tired and so on, it's time to get myself healthy again!!!
This isn't the first time I've been on a diet... Back in 2000, I started the Atkins Diet and lost 45lbs keeping most of it off for 5yrs..In 2005, I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis and Undifferentiated Spondyloarthropathy....I do find it hard at times to exercise when your having pain in your spine/hips. I did start working out on my Elliptical, starting with 5 mins in the morning and 5 mins in the afternoon...
I will take it one day at a time...

Hello and welcome! We sound much alike. I am 57. Have been dieting for what seems like forever. Good luck on your journey. Feel free to add me if you 'd like.

Welcome to MFP. I'm glad you're here. I know how you feel about the pain. I don't personally have what you have; but, since I was younger, I've had constant back pain. Also... my mom has fibromyalgia, so I know what it's like from watching her. I know you've come to the right place, though. MFP will give you a lot of support.0
