I am 5'4" and was about your weight when I started. It took me about 18 months to drop down to where I wanted to be, but over the past few years I have put about 20 back on. Anyways! The point is it can be done and you can do it!!0

I'm somewhere between 5'2" and 5'3" -- so I tend to post on threads for either heights. :-P
My heaviest weight was somewhere around 162 lbs, after 3 years in grad school. My rough goal was losing between 30 and 40 lbs, to be redetermined when I see what I actually look like after losing 30. (I want to look toned, not skinny, so the scale isn't terribly important.) I'm down about 20 lbs now, I've been fluctuating between 142 and 144 for a few weeks now. I came home from vacation about a month ago and have been a bit too lax with my eating habits, which I think is why I haven't lost any weight since last month!
