How do you figure out pizza?

I get thin crust pizza from a local (not chain) pizza place. I never eat the crust (the part you hold), and up to one inch of the pizza that's closest to the crust (no toppings there!)
So how the heck do I figure out the nutritional information for that???
Any and all ideas welcome!

usually i try my best to compare it to a name/store brand bc theres lots of thin crust pizzas maybe next time youre at the store just guesstimate size and toppings and go from there. no matter what even if we count every little piece of what we eat cals are NEVER EXACT. good luck0

^^ This is what I do too.
Also, I would just count the calories for that small piece you aren't eating. However, many of the chain restaurants give the weight of the serving. So, you could weigh your piece, then weigh the remaining and calculate the calories based on that.0 -
I usually input everything separately and try to estimate as best as possible. Thin crust, mozzarella cheese, toppings, etc.0

I would just enter in a thin slice of whatever topping pizza you'd had, and then go by the slice and enter in like 0.75/0.8 of the slice for each slice you have...
It's not going to be 100%, but just be a bit under for the day or the next day.0 -
Not an answer to your question but...
Main variable in pizza calories is the amount of olive oil used. I've happily got a local pizzeria that seems to be rather stingy with the oil (as far as I can taste, at any rate). We also ask for half the regular amount of cheese.0 -
Just use the equivalent size pizza and toppings from a chain restaurant that lists their nutritional info and then enter it as slightly less than a whole piece of that. Just because it's not a chain doesn't mean it's going to be any better for you than the chain places so just go ahead and use their info to give you a best guess kind of thing.0

I'll just give it my best guess then! The only problem is that my whole day has been a "best guess" scenario.

I pick the closest pizza I can find from a place that is listed. And I wouldn't try and account for the 2 bites I didn't eat - that'll cover any calories you might be off in your estimations.0
