It was my birthday last Friday and my oldest daughter made me this.
It's a bacon bouquet!!!

    It's so... beautiful. I would be so shamelessly happy to receive this for Mother's Day or my birthday, someday off in the future, when I have kids.

    Oh, and something else bacon-related, that's not too far off: for Thanksgiving, last year, I concocted a stuffing recipe for turkey that turned out just amazing. It had crumbled bacon, slow-caramelized onion, chopped walnuts, and real maple syrup, plus a bit of fresh rosemary and thyme in there, I think. It was bound with butter, bacon fat, and a bit of brown chicken stock... and I am DEFINITELY making it next month, for Thanksgiving here.
