Should I weight myself every few days or every week?

I have been finding myself wanting to weight myself as soon as I am done with each work out should I wait and weigh myself every week? What are everyone's thought on this? What do you guys do?

Right after you work out prior to rehydrating your weight will naturally be slightly lower than normal. I weigh myself every morning because even a .2 lb weight loss is motivating for me. Others weigh in once a week or once a month always the same day of the week and time of day to get the most accurate reading.

    Good luck!

I always suggest to weigh once per week - weight fluctuates so much every day, I don't think it's very helpful to measure it daily.
Also, I am sure I can avoid the risk of getting obsessed with what the scale says.
Checking myaverage progress once per week definitely works better for me.

The best way to get readings that can be compared to each other in an accurate way is to always do it in the morning, right after you wake up and have used the toilet.
If you do it in different moments of the day (after workout, after lunch, after one day at the office, etc), your values won't be accurate, because the conditions that influence your weight were too different.

it depends on you, what kind of person you are. i would weigh in the am after you have a pee but before you eat. i do it daily to keep myself accountable for what i eat and how my body reacts to it but if you can't handle a lb up or more a day and have it bounce around then do it weekly on the same day and time. it can drive a person batty if they are up 1.5 lbs overnight but to know if you flush out your body, eat healthy and watch your sodium then it will be off again in no time.

I weigh myself first thing in the morning (after bathroom) every wednesday. I am concentrating more on body fat % and how I look in the mirror/how clothes fit more than weight, but I still like to check in every week and see how it's going. Usually I lose 1-2 lbs per week. I think if I weighed myself every day or after every workout I would drive myself nuts with it.

    Weigh in the mornings.

    Every week or two.

Don't stress every few days to weigh in

    ~~ Good luck

I have always done once a week but constantly find myself wanting to weigh more often. In Bob Harper's book The Skinny Rules he actually says to weigh Every morning at the same time. He says that you are smart enough and strong enough to handle the truth. Also, this let's you begin to understand your body to a greater degree. You begin to understand what triggers weight gain and then deal with it. When you only weigh once a week or even less often it is hard to really pinpoint weight fluctuations....

So, this is what I have been doing and it actually makes it easier mentally because I'm not fighting myself to want to go weigh. I just do it and go about my day.

I started weighing myself at my parents home (2.5 hours away) so I only weigh in when I go to visit which sometimes can be 2 times a month or once every couple of months. I'm a resutls now knind of person so I would rather see that I have lost 6lbs in a month then 1lb in a week! If I did have a scale in my house I would still only weight maybe every 2 weeks, it can make you crazy and disapointed.

Once a week max. Same day, same time. I don't weigh myself anymore. I go by my clothes. But, when I was losing, I weighed in about once a week.

It's more about focusing on the right things. The scale is an indicator of your progress, but there are other things too.

Once a week, at the same time, under the same conditions. Sometimes I do step on the scale on other days and times, but the only one I log is Friday mornings
