Good morning!

For ladies, do shoes have to match belt color??? I know that is the rule for men, but does it apply to women too?

The particular outfit I have in mind is a black maxi dress with a burgundy leather obi belt and black boots.

Any fashionista advice would be appreciated!

    That's no longer the case.. they need to compliment each other.. but being overly matchy is now conisdered a dated look. What you described sounds great!

    Cool. Thanks! I'm mostly excited to be wearing a maxi dress. I'm 5'1". It is no easy task finding one that fits without having to have it altered!
