Elephant bum vs muffin top?!

A friend said to me the other day, I can tell you've lost weight you've got elephant bum! Now as I considered whether this was an insult or compliment she explained that the weight loss had caused my old larger trousers to sag in the bum! Great I thought - time to dig through the thin half of my wardrobe for the next size down! On upside These fit my bum great, downside the waist band was tight enough to cause a muffin top!
It seems I'm trapped between sizes... So my question is do I wear bigger n accept elephant bum or go smaller and face a muffin top situ?!

( choices I never knew I would need to make!!!!)

go with the smaller pants; loop a hair elastic through the button hole and hook it to the button. Wear with top that covers that, obvsiously -- (also works for early stages of pregnancy).

Wow! A genius tip! Thanks for sharing. :)
  • Go for the muffin top. You will feel good wearing the smaller size, and I dont think people notice as much as we think they do. I am constantly being told "you are not overweight" and I definitely have a muffin top, and am 10 lbs overweight.

I've never had a bottom  My mum and gran had lovely round bums and curvy hips and I have nothing but a flat area and no hips . Straight up and down. ! However, I'm blighted by my muffin top. Bloody thing.
