My weight keeps fluctuating!

And it's pissing me off. I keep losing/gaining the same 5 pounds. I haven't been logging what I eat but I still make conscious decisions. I try to eat healthy but that is really hard because I depend on my school's meal plan. I do a lot of cardio (but lately haven't been able to make it to the gym), whether it be walking or the elliptical (or even dancing on the weekends). I haven't gained weight, but every time I lose weight, I end up gaining it back. It's just frustrating. I don't think it's muscles because my measurements are the same and my clothes fit the same. I've tried many diff eating habits like eating more, eating less, eating more frequently, eating less frequently, and eating more fruits/veggies.

I think it's just the types of food I get from the school. I live on campus and rely on the meal plan and all they ever have is fried foods rich in carbs or sauce. I try to stay away from their fried foods and stick to salads, proteins and veggies.....but it's not working. I'm just maintaining my weight and it's annoying.

Try to log your food intake, even if you are guessing...It will be an eye opener...It was for me, when I started, and i wasn't able to lose weight on a regular basis until i became committed to logging everything i stuffed in my face.

Thinking back to dorm life in college, that is about the time the weight really started to pile on.
  • I too have been losing/gaining the same 5 pounds, and I'm tired of it. I've decided to be much better about logging what I eat on here, to see if that makes a difference. I thought I had eaten 1300 calories today. I had 1530. I know its not that much more, but over the days, weeks, months, it adds up!

I will measure out my food as much as possible, and I will definitely log everything I eat. We'll see how this goes.
