I built a tool to *kitten* your health.

OK so it's still a work VERY MUCH in progress. It's ugly as sin, and I have only tested it against Internet Explorer and Google chrome.

but it works decently so far. Basically it takes a bunch of numbers for a person, mashes em all together based on a heck of a lot of research I've done, weights them based on their importance (generally accepted health importance), your age, and your sex, and pops a number out. This number is a decent guide to where you are health wise. It's more accurate than any one number (I.E. weight, BMI, body fat...etc) because it takes into account many different body health characteristics. You don't have to enter all the numbers in, if you don't know one leave it blank, but the more you know, the more accurate the number will be. Any numbers it doesn't know it will assume the average for your age and sex (thus, less accuracy).

Anyway, feel free to try it out. Log in if you like, go crazy, and email me if you find any bugs.

Oh, and by the way, you can only track your results per day, if you add more than one result set for any one day, it will replace the old set (because really, what good is tracking intra-day health results?)

    This is great! Went to the site and noticed the question...What is your VO2 Max? What is that? I was able to answer all the others, but not that one. Thanks for the investment you put in creating this and sharing it with all of us. It really is great!

    Fantastic! I was quite a bit higher than I thought I'd be! One question, what is VO2 max? Is that how well your body uses oxygen? How would I go about finding this out? Ok, so that was 3 questions. Sorry!

    I came out as a 10 which has cheered me up slightly after a rubbish weightloss week! All this exercise must be doing something! My resting heart rate is much lower since before I started this.

    wow, that's some great response.

    To answer the VO2 question,

    VO2 Max is a measure of (to put it in layman's terms) how efficient your body uses the oxygen in your blood. It's a measure of how strong your cardiovascular health is. There are many ways to find your VO2 Max, some more accurate than others, but if you google it, there are a few submaximal walking and bike tests you can take. Any trainer can do it for you. Or you can have it done at a lab (far more accurately).

    Question for you though, in your discaimer you say that "This number assumes you have no pre-existing medical conditions such as metabolic syndrome, thyroid conditions, or diabetes; it also assumes no cardiovascular or musculoskeletal problems such as high cholesterol, arterial plaque, or osteoporosis as examples. "

    How would Hypythyroid effect this number?
