I can relate, yesterday I went to the chinese buffet by myself and ate 3 plates of food all because I was pissed off about something at work. What kind of sense does that make!!!
From what I understand we need to change how we release our pent up aggression from food to something else. there has to be a substitute because the issues surrounding us don't go a way and we cant keep it in forever. I hope that makes sense? I am going to try and go for a walk next time. I have also been closing my door to my office and doing a few pushups.0 -
Im in the military and if I'm not stressed then it means I'm not focusing on my job lol but try not to let stress get to you try to focus on the good things and have positive energy!!!
A little tip...
I write down all the positives and things I am greatful for every single day in my workout log book.0 -
I am a stress eater too. This past year my work has been extremely stressed for me. As of July I am no longer there. What a relief. But then so many other stresses will come to play from time to time, as that is the nature of life. So I am working on my mindset and thinking when I go to the food. I am really getting into the Beck Diet Solution. No it is not a specific diet. You do what you want diet wise. But so far for me, I love it and relate to it and trust it will help me stay on track. Hope this helps...0

Laughs, yes in the military you most definitely are stressed, I was a military wife during the Gulf War and man oh man! Hats off to you my dear! An yes that's good advice to write stuff down... My hand is hurt or I would go beat the hell out of the punching bag! I am a CPA and own my own business and so it's easy to sit at the desk and munch to bury rage at times...0 -

YEP! Out of frustration and whatever else you want to call it, its almost like at the moment that's the only thing I can control so I eat... so now I am trying to reverse my brain and still consider it something I can control and control it by chosing not to eat the buffet, the chairs lol0 -

I am not doing any diet, those things fail for me... I am just trying hard to have a lifestyle long term change. I have cut sodium and processed foods MOST days but lots better then what I was... makes me want to beat my head on the desk and make the lil food demons leave my mind that are tempting me lol0
