What is your usual net calorie count at the end of the day?

I average at MAYBE 600 calories. Usually around 400-200.

Anyone else?

My net varies but is NEVER below my BMR of around 1430, usually higher. Netting below the amount my body burns while in a coma is no bueno. :noway:

If I net below 1200 then I make sure to add more the following day. My body and brain will not operate optimally at anything less.

Any reason why it is so low? Are you talking NET, or how many calories you have left over at the end of the day?

Please let it be how many you have left at the end of the day...

I also range from 700-1000 a day and for all those who will say that is too low -- I have eaten anywhere from 1200-1800 and cannot lose an ounce. My dr. even said some people will not lose unless they eat VLC around 800. I find this to hold very true for me. And I also eat very low carb - I aim for a NET (carb less fiber) of no more than 50. This has been the only way I can lose weight.
  • I aim for 1400-1800 net total.
  • I get between 1000 and 1200.
I eat about 1300-1500, but net about 300- 500 less than that

    You're starving yourself.

BTW, I saw in your profile that you're 17 and you "have no idea why it says 22!" It says 22 because it's against the terms of service to be on this website under the age of 18, so you must have lied when you signed up.

    Same as starving.

    Eat 1,000 calories and burn 600 = NET OF 400 .

Eat 400 calories and don't exercise = NET OF 400.

Anorexic behaviour. Maybe you just arent aware of how to do the net.

My net is usually around 1,200 . If it's 100-200 higher or lower Idont let it bother me

I dnt worry too much about my net calories, i pretty much eat when i'm hungry. like the time my net was at -8, i was full so i didnt bother stuffing my face before bed.

Yea, I do low carb, too (20g or less) and sometimes get SO FULL at 800, but she said she MAYBE gets 600. 200-400 is her usual.

I get whole foods are filling, I really do, but that is WAY too low.

ETA: 99% of the time I do get at least 1350 in. If I'm really low (because I eat later at night), I'll drink a protein shake or something to boost my cals up.
  • Between 980-1200.

To loose 2 lbs a day I am supposed to eat around 1600. I usually wind up around 1800 to 2000 calories per day. Sometimes I eat even more than that but I exercise some of those off lifting weights and doing cardio.

If your only eating 600 calories a day you are seriously starving yourself. I recommend you talk to your doctor and a dietitian to find out what you should be eating.
