So can I warm up eggs in the microwave?

As in, make them tonight, and warm them up tomorrow in the microwave. It'd make my morning so much easier. Plus, having breakfast already made will probably keep me from making random bad choices first thing considering I'm getting over a sugar rush and will most likely be craving. Soooo can I?

I scramble an egg & nuke it for one minute in the morning and put it in a bun with some cheese and viola breakfast in one minute!! I like it, my husband thinks it is gross.

As long it's not a hardboiled still in the shell or if it's out of the shell, pierce it first.

I do. It's just like reheating/warming up any other food you use the nuker for. I love time savers.

Ugh I found out that one the hard way. On easter I microwaved a hard boiled egg, and it burst once I put it to my mouth. It burned like helll

Totally! I usually spray a quick burst of PAM in a bowl and use Eggbeaters. Omelet in one minute!
  • Thanks everyone(:
  • Cook my breakfast every night before.

Microwave safe tupper ware mix in 2 egg whites and 2 whole eggs add chopped tomatoes/onions/parsley/S&P to taste. Scramble the mixture, heat up for 3 min, stir and heat up 1min. BAM

I take whole eggs to work in a container, break 'em open there, scramble them in the bowl and just nuke for quick and easy scrambled eggs. Add some shredded cheese, bacon if I have any, and VOILA! A breakfast that has my coworkers salivating and keeps me full until lunch. :-)

I regularly make my husband 1-2 egg omelets, for reheating in the morning. Scrambled eggs reheat well too. If you like the poached type eggs, like the ones on egg mcmuffins, walmart sells a mocrowave egg poacher. you spray it w/pam, put the egg in w/ a dab of water, and break the yolk. We use this, too, Makes pretty good eggs.

This is what I do most every morning and it works wonders for contolling morning hunger. I usually add a little of the WW mexican cheese too.

Oatmeal just doesn't "stick" with me, but I haven't tried steel-cut oats either. Not sure if they would or not.

    Recipe and shelf life?

It's easier and less rubbery to just cook it in the microwave to start with (assuming scrambled) rather than the double process of cooking and reheating.

What is the advantage to the dish? I do this in a bowl or mug (not trying to be a smarta$$, truly wondering what the difference is).
