Hello, I have been on this site for 10 days and have been working out 5 days a week and keeping to my calories. I have not lost any weight at all! I don't know what I am doing wrong. I feel good in terms of mood and ability to deal with stress - probably from the hour long spinning class. But now change on the scale. What is a good way to kick start my metabolism? I saw some posts where people loose a lot in the first couple of weeks, I am not loosing. I have a personal trainer and he says that my calories are good and my exercise is good too, but that I have not been getting enough sleep. I have a hard time getting enough sleep with 2 boy ages 3 and 5 who like to sleep with their mom, and my husband has sleep apnea and uses the Darth Vader machine which also keeps me awake. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I know this journey can be very frustrating but you may not see immediate weight loss. You have to remember that your body is adjusting to what you are putting it through right now. Hang in there and don't give up. I started slow too and I still have several weeks where I stay the same weight and then drop 2-3 pounds without changing anything. My biggest tip for you is to make sure that you are eating every bit of your calories, even the ones you earn from exercise...if you don't, your body will hold on to everything and you will not see the weight drop. Believe me, I've been here and many people from this site will tell you the same thing.

It will happen and you can do this. Just remember, it took you a while to gain weight. It's going to take you twice as long to lose it.

    Good advice Buckeye.

Stick with it, it'll happen, just keep the faith. (yeah I know, easy for me to say, but I promise it will)

Thank you for the support. I have not been eating all of my exercise calories so I am starting to do that today! I have been working out since November and still have not seen a change. I just started watching my diet a few weeks ago and then found this site and can track more specifically. It is nice to have a place where I can talk about my frustrations. My workout partner is in the same boat. We are both working out very hard and have gotten a trainer. The scale is the enemy right now. It helps to have a work out partner and this site to go together! Thanks again for the support!
