MUST HAVE, GO-TO Items

Options
Hey everyone it's grocery shopping time in my house and I am looking for some GO-To items because well prepared lunches will be almost impossible in the next couple weeks. Besides bagged salads, tuna and frozen veggies anyone have any quick office foods I should pick up?

Please and thanks!

raw almonds and 85-90% Lindt Dark Chocolate

Almonds are for a quick, easy, and portable snack if I get hungry between meals. 1 square of Lindt (~60 cals) savored very slowly to calm any cravings or as a treat after a good day.

Almonds, yogurt, granola, string cheese, tortillas..... lotsa quick stuff you can do. Hard boiled eggs work great on salad too to get your protein in, and you can make a week's worth and throw em in the fridge!

Sounds crazy, but I really like spreading a whole wheat tortilla with light/neufchatel cream cheese, layering lowfat ham or turkey (or both!) and rolling it up..... sooo good! Can toss sprouts in it if you like those too, gives a little more crunch to it :)

    Good luck! :)

I just opened my desk drawer for ideas.

    - crackers (for tuna or peanut butter)
    - instant oatmeal (I add a tablespoon of whipped cream cheese to it)
    - small cans of veggies
    - flavored rice cakes (only 50 cals each)
    - popcorn

bags of baby leaf salad and baby spinach (plus cucumber tomatoes peppers etc) and a low cal honey and mustard dressing, I'm a big portion girl so I love padding out my pasta dishes (which I have half the portion that I used to make) with salad so it still feels like I'm having a huge plate full :D

I also pad out noodle and rice dishes with loads of carrots, mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts, peppers, and brocolli so I use half the ammount of rice or noodles.

I also keep in for sweet treat snacks low cal instant hot chocolate and low cal frozen lollies so I can have an under 50 cal pudding or evening snack if I still have the munchables. :)

EDIT sorry didn't read your post properly

For the office I always grab a load of cartons of fresh soup to take in, really filling, plus bags of salad, wafer ham, salsa, low fat sour cream and tortilla wraps. Also bananas (or any fruit)
