Strength training vs circuit training

Hey All,

I am wondering what I should put down for what I did for exercise. We go pretty rapid fire on mini-circuit type things. So would I put weight lifting or circuit here are a few examples

15 TRX squat/row - 12 body weight squats on a bosu ball, 15 push ups with hands on a bosu ball (repeat from beginning x3)
15 abdominal crunches - 15 twists of a medicine ball on a bosu ball - 60 second plank (repeat from beginning x3)

Any ideas? I really dont know what to put.

I don't think it matters.. the calorie calculation is going to be a complete guess without a HRM either way.

Agreed. I think you get a negative calorie burn from bosu balls, regardless.

yeah what's a negative calorie burn? doesnt that mean you're consuming calories? i dont think you're supposed to eat the bosu ball

I would probably go with either calisthenics or circuit training.

^agreed, calisthenics should give you a decent guesstimate. A HRM or bodybugg would be better but I know not everyone can afford one.

It's a complete guess with one since HRM's are not accurate at all for strength training.

Actually, it's going to be a good complete guess with an hrm, since this is not what they are used for.

Use circuit training. That's what I use for workouts like this and it will get you plenty close enough.

Bosu balls are delicious.... With enough hot sauce. But I guess everything is good with enough hot sauce. Which explains chitlins.
