Does anyone NOT workout and lose weight?

  • Yes, I've lost weight without exercising. In fact, I've seen a study that claimed people lose weight equally well either way...but it is more likely to stay off if you exercise. Which is why I've started to increase my activity level.
  • the benefits of exercise do not only apply to weight loss, it improves your overall health, reduces stress, optimizes bone health, and you feel more energize and active.
  • Due to foot and ankle trauma, I can't do most forms of cardio. I just started dating a yoga and pilates instructor, though, so I suspect my yoga practice is going to massively improve.

So far the twenty pounds I lost before MFP and the current four after are all dietary; I occasionally amble around a big box store for thirty minutes or so, but that's scarcely raising my heartrate.

You will love the way your body looks when you are done losing if you do workout.
