Hair growth

Strange topic but,
I've always struggled to grow my hair.
It's been the same length for about 5 years.
The past year, Ive stopped dying it, tried to eat healthier, stopped using heat as much and used conditioning treatments, protective sprays as well as regular trims.

I'm wondering if i'm the only one here and if theres anything i can do to speed it up! Does exercise help (I've only just started to work out recently and regularly), do some peoples hair just not grow?

Thanks :)

I don't dye my hair, I use heat protectant, and I honestly really take care of my hair but it won't grow past a certain point. I've cut it, trimmed it, and it still will only grow about 5 inches below my shoulder. I'm starting to think my hair just stops growing at that point, which I hate! :(

Prenats are good. But theres the myth that they can make you gain weight. I actually take my vits and crush them up and put them into my shamp and conditioner. ;) All the benefits straight to the rooooot of the problem! ;) Ahahaha...

I used to use a product called Mane and Tail. It's actually for horses but it made my hair grow super fast and thick!

*don't blow dry or flat iron it. If you HAVE to, use a good heat protectant, esp at the ends.

*Don't color it. It KILLS your hair. Embrace the color you were given!

*Use pins instead of elastics when possible. It helps keep it from breaking.

*if you have the money, try a keratin treatment at the salon. Not cheap, though, be warned!

*Keep the ends trimmed REGULARLY, at least every 6-8 weeks. Sounds counterproductive, but it keeps the dead ends off and promotes growth.

    *Biotin supplements

*Get pregnant. My hair grew another four inches in those nine months, when it hadn't grown an inch in two years.
  • hair grows in 3 phases 1. Anagen - Growth Phase 2. Catagen - Transitional phase
    3. Telogen - Resting Phase - The anagen phase is when the hair is actively growing which varies between 2 to 6 years. If you're one of those whose anagen phase only lasts about 24 months that's all the growth you'll ever get. Whatever length your hair is - healthy hair always looks nicer, so if you can't grow it out super long at least take good care of it so it'll be soft and glossy.

Make sure you also put sunscreen on exposed scalp areas, like if you have a part in your hairstyle, and near the hairline.

Sunburned scalp can deter hair growth.

I dye mine every 8 to 10 weeks , I don't exercise like i should ,I always blow it dry, my hair grows like a shaggy dog , lol
I am constantly having to get it trimmed and it is so thick i need to constantly get it thinned , maybe it is just
genetics ?? I do know that since i have started eating more eggs and coconut oil in my diet that it is getting a lot
shinier . I wish my hair would slow down growing !!

I'll just keep my hair this length.
