    Sparks Nevada...never closes :drinker:

HA! Thats a fabrication we tell the tourists! I've never seen anything like the way they literally roll up the sidewalks during special events. We had our bikes chained up on Virginia Street during Hot August Nights and when we tried to get them back at 10:30..the sidewalk was literally blocked and closed...guarded by cops, so they could wash it. The cruise hadn't been over that long. The bands stopped playing at Harrah's at 9! During one of the biggest events of the year! And when we were at the Rib Cookoff, this voice comes over a loud speaker, announcing everything would be closing at 9! Big party town we got here!

Oh and hi....nice to see somone else from here.

The people who live on the side streets behind the Silver Club kept complaining about the noise, especially at HAN...party poopers. I used to live 2 blocks up from Victorian on 7th Street & the only thing I hated were the drunk people stumbling into our yard, LOL! :)

Jeez! They move in behind a casino in a "24 Hour Town" and expect everyone else to keep their schedule. Go figure. The drunks in the yard would be a bit disconcerting though. We used to live backed up to McCarran and heard a huge crash one night. We used chairs to look over our brick wall and freaked out because there was a body on ground right behind our wall. It was even freakier when the body got up when the police got there and staggered away. It was a drunk lady who had taken out some of those little retangular reflective signs they line the road with and then wandered away from her car and passed out behind our wall! Fun times.

I know, right? I never understood that...but the Christmas parade was by far the worst when we lived there. ALL of the side streets are blocked off & you can't get anywhere.

I can't get anywhere NOW! I live in Donner Springs in the little crescent inside where they are doing the work at Mccarran and MIra Loma, all the way through to Mira Loma and Longley. It's hard to get out of my neighborhood! My office is in Franktown Corners and I used to go to work via Moana. When that got so clogged up with construction, I would turn right at Neil and go around the airport. Only then they started work on Neil too. So getting out of my neighborhood and into my office is quite the challenge even now!

I'm not a west coast "person" - born & raised in NY...but I'm living in LA for now, so I guess that qualifies. I do notice things dying down way before I'm done with my day.

Feel free to add me :)
