FAT!

Its easy. Fat is a Soul-less being that wants to make everyone unhappy. It is a product of the devil. Exercise is the only way to kill this being from your body. Like demons it does not disappear but instead finds another body to habitat. Its a never ending process but it only attacks the weak and is afraid of those who work hard0

"Fat" is long chain hydrocarbon molecules. When you "burn" it or oxidize it, those molecules are converted into smaller molecules (eventually, in its simplest form breathed out as carbon dioxide). The energy given off when breaking chemical bonds to make those smaller molecules is used by your body as mechanical and heat energy.
Disclaimer: This explaination is so oversimplified, it's almost not true.
They need a lol button0 -
mine gets sucked out through a tube and into a plastic bag .. then they turn it into soap (once they have pulled the harpoon outta my ar5e)0

Actually the right answer is it leaves the body via pee. You'll know for sure you'll losing fat if you see white fatty blobs in your pee...think chicken fat/skin looking type of *kitten*...0

It turns into these cute little creatures, and they climb out your window while you are sleeping!!
WHOVIANS FTW!
Yes! I wish that is how it actually worked. Not a bad diet plan, and they're cute.0 -
You fart it out.

In the darkest part of the night while you're lying in bed, exhausted from your work-out and deeply in REM sleep, the tiny Fat Faery slides into your room and quietly liposuctions away your fat...
I *knew* the Fat Faery was real, UncleMac!
UM NO. Do you even have scientific proof to back this up?? It's GARDEN GNOMES who cart it away in wheelbarrows and use it to fertilize the lawn. Get your facts straight before you start spreading dangerous misinformation!!0 -
trying to delete my comment so... go on please0

Once stored fat is converted to energy, your body uses it to fuel activity and metabolic functions in much the same way it uses immediate energy from food. Waste material produced during the conversion of body fat into energy, specifically water and carbon dioxide, leaves your body through urine, sweat and exhaling.

It is plagiarism to quote someone without giving a reference. Bad form kcwebguy, ... bad form indeed.0 -
When we burn fat, where does it go? What does it turn into, and how does it leave our bodies?
Thermodynamics. You said it yourself, "When we BURN [emphasis mine] fat..." It is burned as fuel, like gas in your car or coal at the electric plant. It leaves your body as energy--work and heat. Your question is the same as "Where does the gas go when I drive my car?"
(And for the scientists here--yes, I oversimplified. The answer still applies.)0 -

It is plagiarism (theft) to quote someone without giving a reference. Bad form kcwebguy, bad form indeed.
It is indeed plagiarism, but not (necessarily) theft. In the context here, it certainly is not theft. But more important, references provide evidence that the person making the claim has some verifiable authority in the subject (or not).0 -
Matter cannot be created or destroyed, so....If I am losing weight then someone else is gaining it.0
