carb-protein-fat ratio

So I'm fairly new to MFP and I'm finding that it is allowing me too many carbs in a day and not enough protein. i'm not sure what my ratio is set at right now & Im not sure what it should be set at either?? . I am 5'5, 121lbs, and am eating 1200 calories a day. Help with determining my ratios would be great! Also, help with figuring out how to make the adjustments to my account would be very helpful as well lol. thank you :)

well, it all depends on what you want to do.

A lot of people use a 40/30/30 split.

Another way is to do 1g protein per lb lean body mass, 20-35% fat and the remaining carbs. If you do this, you need to know your % body fat.
  • great thank you so much for your help!

The spreadsheet linked in this topic has a Macro tab. You input your stats on first tab, put in how many calories to use on Macro tab, it has some common recommendations, and shows how to change that in MFP to the % method.
