ANY Baltimore/DC Area Tattoo Parlor Recommendations?

Options
Hi, all!

My boyfriend is buying me a tattoo for my Birthday! (No, not his name or anything like that...I'm not crazy! lol) I generally get all my tattoos done by the same person where I grew up in PA, however, I also have at least one tattoo from each area I've lived. I'm now living in the DC/Baltimore area (right in between the two, but work in DC), so I need to get one from somewhere around here, and was wondering if any one has gotten any in this area, and if they have a recommendation of a good shop!

Thankssssss! :)

When I lived around Baltimore, I got one here:

    It turned out well.

Thanks! I've been looking into them. Were they really expensive, if you don't mind me asking?

No. My own design, 2 color tattoo (black and a light blue), it's relatively small (about 3 inches wide and 2 inches tall) - cost me around $120 - this was 6 years ago though, so pricing may vary.

I actually got one with my husband back in July at Read Street Tattoo. You can see the tattoo in my album if you click on my name. They did a great job.

EDIT: They are in Baltimore, MD.

plan on spending 100 - 150 an hour for a good artist.

Might be a little bit too far for you, but I got my first tattoo when I was 18 at Body Art Tattoo in Berryville, VA. (It's NoVa, just out west.) Tom Painter did mine and it was freakin' beautiful.

I'm going to Cirque du Rogue on H Street to get a tattoo covered up. The head artist there had a months long wait-list and has been amazing to work with.

I've heard nothing but good things about all of their artists. I think it's $125 an hour but not positive. It's worth paying more for a good product. Or you'll need cover up work like yours truly! :)

I've really appreciated the individual attention at Cirque and Cyn is a true artist - can't wait for her to start on my cover up work (she starts Wednesday evening, she expects about 8 hours of work)
