100+ to lose AND Gluten-Free

So after years of destroying my body with beer, fried food, and way too much bread, my body has responded with celiac disease!

I started back on MFP about 3 weeks ago - down 16 pounds already. 2060 calories right now, not exercising a whole lot because of a bad knee, and the best part is: I DON'T FEEL HUNGRY

Celiac (now, don't shoot me here folks) is almost a blessing in disguise for me. I can't eat the traditional junk I love - white breads, cakes, cookies, anything deep fried. It has forced me to incorporate a lot more fruits and veggies into my diet.

So, 115 pounds to lose total to get to my goal weight. 16 down, 99 to go!

I love having MFP friends - either in the same boat(s) as me, or just to go along for motivation and support, so feel free to add me so we can cheer each other on.

I was just recently diagnosed with celiac - I haven't done any specifically gluten-free cooking (i.e., substitutions in recipes), but I am eager to try some soon.
