NSV - Doctor's appointment

I have to start out with saying I have the best doctor ever (at least in my opinion!). She's been very supportive with my desire to lose weight and get more healthy. For the last few years, I've been going to my appointments and discussing my weight. She's tried to help and guide me. And for the last few years I'd be fatter and fatter every time I went in for another visit, which was about every 3 months as my blood pressure wasn't low enough even on 3 medications.

Life has been crazy and I've been sort of avoiding the doctor for the last year, partly due to embarassment that I still didn't lose weight. But increasing asthma issues forced me to finally go back.

When I was weighed in, I'd lost exactly 30 pounds since my last visit! The doctor had a HUGE smile on her face when she came through the door. And my blood pressure was perfect! I haven't gotten to the point of reducing medicine yet, but I can see that day coming now.

She was so thrilled for me that I got excited about weight loss all over again. And I told her about MFP, and she's going to check it out to possibly recommend for other patients...and herself!

Anyway, made me feel great. :)

That's fantastic! Doctors probably don't get to see that often enough!
