Do you weigh your meat before you cook it or after???? It matters right??

I think I've heard after (some of the juices/fats will hopefully cook out of the meat) but I'm a vegetarian, don't take my word for it!

I weigh it before because I am usually adding things to the meat while I cook it.0

I have always weighed it before cooking if its like a hamburger. But with a roast or steak you may need to weigh after cooking. And then I eat a 3 oz portion. I hope this helps.0

In the food database, there are options for the meat raw, or different ways it may be cooked. So it's really up to you whether you want to weigh it before or after. If it's before, the serving size is usually 4 oz, if it's after, it's usually about 3.0
