Need help with these last 5 lbs!

I'm a stay at home mom to a 2 month baby, with a limited income (only one of us is working) so I'd like to find some things I can do at home. it's hard because she doesn't nap very much during the day, so I am also limited in that until my other half gets home from work. My daughter was a BIG baby so my stomach muscles are stretched and separated and on the advice of my doctor I was told not to do any sit ups yet until the separation gap closes a bit more. I have pics if anyone would like to see what it looks like, but a little warning I've got loads of stretchmarks because she was huge and I'm small framed.
I am finding these last 5 lbs so hard to shake! I gained 48 lbs in total and now I have 5 left to lose. I fluctuate by 1 lb, not sure why. And no matter what I try, nothing can shed these last 5 lbs. I walk everyday with my baby pushing the stroller, I was also going to start jump rope. I can't run due to bad knees. I was thinking I should try weight lifting for strength exercises? I dunno what to do or where to start, so any input would be greatly appreciated!

Strength training is a must to tighten up that stomach and arms. You will love the changes you will see in your body just after a few weeks or every-other day strength training. Mix it up. Your body will get used to the same walk every day. Have you tried power walking? Or walking with weights? What about roller blading/skating; bike riding; swimming; workout DVDs at home? I am easy on my stomach too after hernia surgery 2-3 years ago and do planks. Not sure if that would be ok for you to do. Maybe just the slide planks for your obliques? Jumping jacks are an AMAZING burn as well as jumping rope. Climbing stairs, jumping up and down on some step/box/higher level. There are countless exercises you can do from home. Make sure you are drinking as much water as possible and day and get as much protein a day. When I slack on one of these things my weight loss hinders. Good Luck!0

Calisthenics (push ups, sit ups, planking [lots of planking] etc) and yoga are good at home strength training.
Try downloading a free yoga app. ^.^
Also Palmer's body butter is good, and I've heard mixed reviews for Bio-oil.
Anything with vitamin A and vitamin E really...
