losing the lbs along with the cofidence

Well I've been "officially" on the weight loss journey since the end of July, but only using MFP for 40 days. I've lost almost 20 lbs in that time. The scale is going down, my clothes are a little bigger on me but overall I feel like the same "fat" person. I'm about 15lbs from my goal but frustrated. Anyone else feel like once they reach their goal weight that they might not be happy?

Well, what I think is important is that you don't expect your life to change because you are lighter/skinnier. Your situation will essentially be the same, apart from the fact that your clothes fit in a different way.
I tackled that by deciding to first be happy with what I have and what and who I am as I am at that moment. Any changes for the better are great and I strive for those, but I am happy with who I am.
Perhaps you need to have a look at what is really bothering you, if I may be so blatant.......0 -

"Set your alarm for 6am. Don’t groan when it goes off and pull the covers over your head, get up and start your day. Put on a baggy top and running shorts. Go downstairs and pour yourself a nice big glass of ice water. Cut up some fruit and mix it in with yogurt. Add some granola. Now go outside. Stretch for 10 minutes. Skip for 5 minutes. Jog for 10 minutes. Run for 10 minutes. Walk back. Lay out a towel on the ground and lie down on it. Do 50 crunches. Yes, they hurt, but they are 100% worth it. When you’re done, get in the shower. Use a nice smelling shampoo and matching conditioner. Shave your legs and wash your body. Exfoliate your face. Get out of the shower and let your hair air dry. Look in the mirror. Do you like what you see? If you do, good for you. Do this every day and you will continue to love yourself. If you don’t like what you see, do this every day and pretty soon you will. Re being 'smaller but the same', the consensus is that lifting challenging weights & eating lots of protein will help you keep muscle mass as you lose, so that more fat goes than muscle, and you end up looking leaner at the end.
I didn't know that when I lost weight, and wish I had - it's much harder to change body composition once you're at 'skinny fat'. (But, I forgive myself - there's so much to learn & so much crap to wade through on this journey, including head stuff.)0
