Ok folks - I've got an app to share if you have a smart-phone. I have an Android phone. The app is called Cardio Trainer - it is free (tho there is an upgraded PRO version too), and using the GPS on your phone it tracks steps, heart rate, calories, speed, etc. If you have a smart-phone, very useful.

Used to use Cardio Trainer, and it is a great app. You must have a Polar Bluetooth HRM for it to track your heart rate. But the other features are really great.
If you do have Polar Bluetooth HRM, I would recommend using SportsTracker, instead. It gives you the same info as Cardio Trainer but also uses your actual heart rate to calculate your calories burned. Cardio Trainer only uses speed and distance along with your age and weight. Plus SportsTracker has some really cool graphs for distance, speed and heart rate. And you can link to your friends online to see their workouts, too.0 -
Love this app. I have been using it for a while now.0
