How much do you usually eat when not on holidays? If you are permanently on a very low calorie diet you will put on weight for the slightest little "transgression"
I came back from holidays with 5 extra lbs - it was gone within a week - for the first time ever....And that was seven months after I started eating enough EVERY day....
  • I am in the same boat. I didn't run on Wednesday and put on 2lb's!! Everybody is different, some people can take a break and not gain a pound. Don't beat yourself up for putting on a few. It's part of the process, we all fall off the wagon sometimes. But in the end you have to realize that this is a lifestyle change, not a temporary diet. You will have to continue to exercise regularly and stick to a healthy eating plan even once you reach your goal weight.

^^^ this is true. If you don't continue to eat right and work out you will gain it back, most people gain even more. But a week off? That's nothing. Take those 5 lbs off over the course of a month, don't starve yourself to do it. Just do what has worked for you this whole time and it'll come back off. Just be patient :)

    Hi Anya

I was reading a post this morning "when will my brain catch up with my weight loss" it was covering everything from still reaching for old size clothes when shopping to still seeing yourself as the larger version of themselves. Someone there said that it can take up to 2 years to get that thought process in place.

I did the same thing today, I am out for a dinner tomorrow and needed a new white shirt, I know my neck is now 17" but the store I went to only had pre-packed shirts, I bought a 17 1/2 shirt as I still have a bit of a belly. I have tried the shirt on and think that a 17 would have fitted, might have been snug but in a few weeks it would be fine, I guess I am going to have to start trying clothes on before I buy them, which I haven't had to do for years.

If your profile picture is recent you look fabulous, but if it isn't and you lost more you probably looking stunning.
