I am making muffins this evening but do not have sugar substitute....
First off... what would that be?
Secondly if i needed 1/4 cup of sugar sub, would that be the same measurment for white sugar?

Sugar subs are Splenda (which you should NEVER use), Stevia, Truvia, Xylitol. Or, when I make muffins I blend a banana and a little unsweetened apple sauce and use no sugar subs & it is sweet enough for me. Stevia in the raw is your cleanest bet on a sigar sub that will not give you a belly ache like Xylitol might.0

I use Truvia. Anyone have a "why you should or shouldn't" on this substitute. It tastes pretty darn good...0

oh perfect! thank you! How do you know how much to use in comparison?0

Truiva is made from stevia. It's processed, but I don't feel it's powdered death like aspartame is.0
